It’s no secret that Pass The Salt & Remo’s have always had a great relationship. The reason? The food is flavourful & delicious. The service is warm & welcoming & (ALL) of the stores are beautiful. This past week I attended a Media Lunch at Remo’s Libertà in Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton City. Flavours & dishes from their newly launched menu were on offer. Think authentic Italian flavours, with a twist on the traditional.
I couldn’t resist a #IHaveThisThingWithFloors shot. But apart from the gorgeous floor tiles, as always, Remo’s had put out quite the spread. From beef carpaccio, to a gorgeous platter filled with deli meats, Parmesan cheese wedges & Italian Luganica sausage, all accompanied with shards of crunchy ciabatta. Oh & for a little retro nostalgia, you can now nibble on (boring party-platter improved) Devilled Eggs. Yes, I said Devilled Eggs.
Mains included a Harvest Salad consisting of butternut, dried cranberries, parsley & a mixed seed salad. The Lemon Sole, drizzled with a lemon & parsley brown butter, served with fries & a delish tartare sauce – scrummy. Light, yet filling & packed with flavour. Have a squizz at the Remo’s site for additional new dishes on offer >> http://www.remos.co.za/HOME.aspx#!/
Apart from the new menu items, gin lovers will be happy to know that Remo’s have also recently collaborated with Malfy Gin, an authentic gin from Italy, launching in South Africa from today, the 1st of July 2016. Malfy Gin is infused with Italian Coastal Lemons – again, all sorts of YUM.
Fancy some great grub over the weekend? Best you go & sample some of the above Remo’s delights for yourself then.
