Are you a baking ninja? Do you battle it out in the kitchen like a pro? Hate anybody who lays their hands on that rolling pin that you treasure so dearly? Are you absolutely & totally in like with that one show on DSTV that you set an auto reminder for… You know the one. Where a cup of tea is required & you hold control of the remote… Naturally, I’m talking about the Great British Bake Off.
I enjoyed the show greatly, immensely (until all the repeats – NO). Why did it capture my attention? Well the baking was nice. But. What I really enjoyed, really, really enjoyed was all the prop styling on the show. English country cute. It’s the stylist in me. I also thought that my choux pastry was better & that my choccie eclairs would bring all the boys to the yard.
Anyway.
The Great B Bake Off has now moved across oceans & will soon become the Great Saffa Bake Off. Oh yes. If you love being covered in chocolate & flour, know the difference between flaky & shortcrust pastry & think that spending the afternoon in front of a hot oven is for you… Well then, stop reading this post & ENTER! All the deets are here, goodness, one can only hope that it will be a better production than that other South African food show – you know the one, it starts with a letter that sits closely to N in the alphabet.
