Last night saw the uber trendy Stanley Beer Yard act as the venue for the Press Launch of the Sanlam Investments FoodWineDesign Fair – taking place between 8-10 November, on the Hyde Park rooftop.
I made my way to the trendy Yard, representing both the Salt & JHB Style Magazine. Steve Maresch from the Local Grill in Parktown North, was already doing his thing – braaing up a storm. I grabbed one of the mini Wagyu beef burgers making the rounds – ha – heaven – & washed down with a Brewers & Union lager. Clearly a sign of things to come at the Fair.
Again, what makes this event so different? The quality of producers – think Richard Bosman – king of cured meats & designers like Heather Moore of Skinny la Minx, who bring the food & design world together.
